Qristina Voskanyan Artistic director and conductor of the Yerevan State Chamber Choir

Born in 1974 in a family of musicians, in Yerevan.
In 1993, she graduated from R. Melikyan Music College and entered Conservatory as a choirmaster
under Professor H. Mirzoyan's class. At the same time, she worked in the choir of the opera studio.
In 1996, H. The Yerevan State Chamber Choir was founded by Topikyan, where Kristina has been
working since its foundation until now. She is the author of arrangements and transpositions of
many classical works for the choir. She has appeared in many local and international projects.
Since 2015, K. Voskanyan is included in various projects of YSCC as a conductor. Among those
projects are the Erebuni-Yerevan event (2015), in 2017 the choir performed with 3 choirs from
Russia. The presented K. Jenkins' work was prepared by Kristina Voskanyan. In 2018, the choir
performed with the united choirs in an extensive concert, during which one of Penderetsky's works
was performed. As part of the May 28 celebrations, the choir participated in a big concert, the
program of which was prepared by Voskanyan (2018).
Since 2021 the artistic director and conductor of the YSCC is Kristina Voskanyan.
In 2022 the Yerevan State Chamber Choir took part in the 41st annual international "Hajnowka"
International Orthodox church music festival held in Poland from September 21 to 25.
YSCC gave concerts in the Holy Trinity Evangelical Augsburg Church in Warsaw and in the Podlasie
Opera and Filharmonic in Bialystok.
At the end of the festival, YSCC won the first prize in the category of professional choirs.
